UNCTAD’s 2018 Maritime Transport Review, released October 3rd, canvasses the status of blockchain development and deployment in the industry (see pp. 87-89); the latter is noted as still largely in the test or pilot project stages. One of the particular points made is that there needs to be at least a degree of standardization in order to enable interoperability of systems.
